Garage Sale this Sunday @ Isaac & Grace's House

If you have anything you would like to sell and donate to the Mission trip then this Sunday from 8am - 12 Noon we will be having a garage sale at 26041 Hinckley St. in Loma Linda. The proceeds will go towards our mission trips we have planned for August as well as the Spring.

Spiritual Gifts Part 1

Journey with us for the next few weeks as we discover together what spiritual gifts God has given to us. There is an online assessment we have found that will allow us to do this together as a group. Young Adults vs. Young Families Softball Game 7.26.08

On Saturday Night July 26, 2008 the long awaited softball game will be happening between the Pigeons vs. the young families. This is the 1st annual charity softball game to support our mission projects. We'll need everyone's support in raising funds for the weekend. Stay tuned...if you have any ideas for fundraisers...post them here because we'll need them. Raul Garcia has created a softball blog so check it out for updates and some good smack.

Sabbath in the Mountains, 14 June

You are invited to join us this coming Sabbath, 14 June, at Jenks Lake for worship and fellowship. We will begin at 10:30AM with worship and study and break to eat lunch at about noon. Lunch will be followed with opportunities to hike or just hang out in the mountains. Please note that there will be no Young Adults Sabbath School at the Calimesa Church as we will be at Jenks Lake.

Jenks Lake is a privately operated fishing and recreation area located in the National Forest. The private vendors charge $5 per car for parking. Adventure Passes DO NOT cover this fee. We recommend that you carpool with friends to save on the parking fee and gas.

What to Bring:
Bible
Sack lunch
Water bottle
Hiking shoes
Chair
$5 cash for parking

How to get there: Map
--It is pretty easy to get there. Head towards Big Bear on Highway 38. Several miles past Angelus Oaks be on the lookout for signs for Jenks Lake Road West and Jenks Lake. Turn right on Jenks Lake Road West and go about 2 miles. Once again follow the sign to Jenks Lake by turning left. After about .5 miles you will reach the parking lot for Jenks Lake.

Ensenada Mexico Mission Trip

So, here is the signup info our mission trip to Ensenada. The dates are the same. We will be leaving on Sunday August 3 to arrive in Ensenada in the evening. We are supposed to have dinner with the family(ies) that we are building for that night. We will build a house or two (depending on funding), we will provide dental care, and maybe even a VBS or sports programming.

It is our intention to leave the mission on Thursday evening and travel to the Marais' home where we will spend the weekend on a spiritual retreat vacation.

If you have signed up to go to El Salvador, please sign up again for this trip. The deposit for El Salvador can be applied for Ensenada, Mexico. The cost of this trip will be $500. We would encourage you to save the other $500 for the trip in the spring.

The last day to sign up will be Sabbath June 21, 2008. The sooner the better to help us plan though. So, we encourage you to sign up soon!!

Fundraiser @ Claim Jumper on Thursday for our Mission Trip to Ensenadahur

Thursday we will be at Claim Jumper on Hospitality Rd. Come enjoy lunch or dinner at a great place and support our mission trip at the same time. Invite all your friends. We are raising funds for our mission trip. All you need to do at both of the restaurants is to bring the flier with you.

Fundraiser @ CPK on Tuesday for our Mission Trip to Ensenada

Our mission trip will require some substantial fundraising and we are looking to do in creative ways. On Tuesday go and eat some great food at our partner, California Pizza Kitchen (CPK which is across from Costco). They will donate 20% to our mission trip. Print out this flier and give it to them when you order your lunch or dinner!!!
